WIPE OUT seals

Wipe-Out labels, patented at the European level by Arca Etichette to effectively address the issue of tampering, are ideal for sealing any type of package or carton. They make any unauthorized tampering attempt clearly visible, thereby discouraging theft and product adulteration.

The special combination of materials and the specific type of adhesives used make it extremely difficult to remove the label intact and reposition it on the product after illicit opening.

These security seals are made up of two different material layers:

1. The lower layer, with a specific “wave” design, adheres to the product
2. The upper layer, consisting of a thin plastic laminate

In case of removal, the destruction of the label is guaranteed by three jointly acting factors:

• The plastic upper layer tends to separate from the lower layer, removing any printed graphics applied to it
• The lower layer tends to break apart due to its inherent fragility
• The destruction of the lower layer is ensured by special pre-cuts that run across the entire label surface, all the way to its edges

Wipe-out labels can be produced with any graphics, any shape and any dimensions, as well as in the traditional seal shown in the illustration. They can even be applied automatically using normal self-adhesive labellers.
